The world is unraveling
as the virus sweeps across the land.
People are dying
in seemingly insurmountable ways.
Meister Eckhart wrote, “Unless you let go, you cannot re-enter.”
Now, at the crossroads of pandemic and death,
we are called to take up the challenge,
to practice the protocols
and believe there are better days ahead.
This too will pass.
